Matteo Franzoso

Don’t be fooled by his good-boy smile. When he crosses the gate, there’s no stopping him. Genoan skier Matteo Franzoso, born in 1999, is a speed discipline professional and one of the new promises of the National team.

After his debut in 2017 in the Slalom race in Europa Cup in Obereggen, he caught attention during other competitions, and then made a mark in 2021 with a gold medal in the Super-G in Zinal (Europa Cup). Throughout the 2022/2023 season, he proved to have the makings of a champion, securing the gold medal in the Combined event in La Thuile (Italian National Championships).
