Serena Maria Venturini

Her motto is ‘Improving… We try!’. Serena Maria Venturini discovers Nordic walking by reading the flyer of a basic course organized near her municipality, through which she learns the basics of Nordic walking. She started her competitive career in 2018, which she sees as an opportunity to demonstrate to herself and others how competitive this type of sport can be. In 2019, she obtained the first-level Libertas instructor diploma. Her favorite ‘Nordic moment’ is the summer dawn when silence has not yet been disturbed by the noises of daily life.

In 2019, she achieved 1st place in the Italian Libertas championship for 5km, in 2021, 1st place in the Italian Libertas championship for 5km and 10km, in 2022, 1st place overall in the European ENWO championship in Slovenia, and 3rd place in the ENWO world championship for 5km in Poland (category 50-59 years). In 2023, she secured the 2nd overall position in the 5km race during the 1st stage of the world championship in Tirano.
